There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroads. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. And, of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back. But, once in a while, people push onto something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone. And just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in, or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream. Because, it's only when you’re tested that you truly discover who you are, and it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be. The person you want to be does exist; somewhere on the other side of hard work and faith and belief; and beyond the heartache and fear of what lies ahead.

Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever.

After dinner, Lucas headed back to his room to pack. He hadn't been home in a while and really didn't know what he was going to be walking back in to when he got there.

While he tossed a few things in a bag, he considered what he'd tell his own Brooke and Peyton about what had been going on with him lately. That was gonna be an excellent conversation. Lucas could only hope to avoid the subject entirely.

Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul. If either be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas. For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining; and passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
~Kahlil Gibran

Reading pretentious novels was Lucas' preferred way to pass a Sunday after a long run and some time on the basketball court. Hours at a time were lost to the words and thoughts of others as he lounged on his bed, hand tucked under his head with a book held above his face.

Lucas was screaming not five seconds after he woke up.

His mind was reeling out of control. He had breasts! He had...oh just perfect...he didn't have his other parts! He was a freaking girl!

"What the hell is wrong with this place?" Lucas muttered, peeking down the collar of his t-shirt. "The least Fandom could do was give me a bigger rack."

Poor Lucas.

[Establishy unless the roomie wants to ping in! CMM = Allison Mack! Katie loves me, oh yes she does! Up early because I'm killing time, yes.]
